Pretty good school. I transferred here from another high school in Philadelphia, and this one definitely was the one for me. I have met so many amazing and capable people here and made some lifelong friends. There is great diversity and everyone can find their community by just talking around. Everyone is really chill. Academic-wise, it is one of the top schools in Philly. We have a lot of AP classes and dual enrollment opportunities. It is a smaller school compared to the other public high schools, but in my opinion, it is better since you can get closer to everyone. Overall, going here was one of my best decisions in life.
The teachers are nice and understanding. They really care about your learning and improving as a student and they want you to succeed. The counselors are always helpful and very resourceful! The staff as a whole are nice. The lunch, I believe, is about average. Most of the meals are enjoyable. There is a wide range of clubs and sports at this school. The academics are difficult for sure, but the teachers are always there to help and push you to do better. Overall this school is great, especially if you are interested in a STEM career. There are many opportunities to be involved in anything STEM at this school.
Carver is a very interactive school, the staff is very inviting. The school l may look small but it's big enough that you won't know everyone personally but you'll see them around. You won't ever feel excluded!
