I am very grateful for the experiences I had at this school. While it is not as competitive as other schools, this school really focuses on getting students academically and financially ready for college or see alternative paths. It's perfect for students who are still figuring out what career path they're interested in.
I would to see more athletic money out in the school. I would like to more higher level classes/ college prep classes.
I like the small class sizes. I like the support the teachers give the students. How ever in my senior I hope they have some challenging classes because they have not in the past.
i really like carver unlike other schools there dedicated to helping you in the classroom to graduation.they helped me find a great site for scholarships .there amazing staff have helped me in every wonderful way, and for that i say thank u so much for helping me through my school years .carver really made my year special.
Carver Academy was an experience I will never forget. From the classes small enough for every student to have a connection to their instructor, to the extra curricular activities that felt less like a chore and more like family time, my four years at this school have shaped me into the person I am today. I have nothing but good things to say about my time spent here and I look forward to finding another school where I feel just as at home.
Carver College and Career Academy is an alternative magnet school that focuses on preparing kids for alternatives to college. In reality, it's adjacent to a community high school.
The counselors aren’t much help. A lot of bullies at this school and nobody does anything about it. Some of the teachers (not all) are horrible at teaching.
I found CCCA to be an overall great experience and would heavily recommend it for any student who is considering a school that will equip them with the knowledge and tools necessary for college.
I have enjoyed my time here at Carver College and Career Academy. I have been able to boost my resume for college and take advance level courses in order to prepare me for college. The teachers at Carver College and Career Academy are very helpful and push you to do your best. The school always tries to bring in resources to help students get ahead in their academic career. Overall Carver has prepared me for college and giving me the resources to succeed in my career.
Going to Carver College and Career Academy was the best decision I have ever made. I was homeschooled throughout middle school and some of high school and then I went to a public school, but I specifically chose this one. The reason this school has the best for me and has made such a huge impact on my learning abilities if because the school is education based. This school truly wants you to succeed and do well and help you to graduate early or get back on your feet. The school only has about a little over 200 students, making it a smaller environment essential for learning capabilities. The school also has amazing teachers that you will have connections with that will recognize your potential and commend you for it. There is even a program called the Champions Program that helps you prepare for jobs! This school has been everything I have ever asked for.
It was a small and inclusive school. The size can feel a little too small, its the smallest school in the county, but you learn to get used to it and the teachers and administrators can get to know you on a more personal level
has equal amount of racial people
It has a has a fit for life its part of fitness, takes field trips to gyms to help with training.
Bullying is most definitely not tolerated, it's a pretty safe environment enforced by Chesterfield County officers. I really don't see much going on over here, when there is trouble it is taken care of right away
I have already explained this part of the survey. I absolutely like the after school programs
They are usually on top of things, I work for the Principle Advisory Board so I'm one of the people who make sure the faculty is on top of things. The only complaint I see is that they don't really enforce the fact that some teachers REALLY need to be re-evaluated.
I love the opportunities that the school provides. In Chesterfield Community Highschool, they offer a handful of opportunities to make up for the credits that you need to pass. They do great convincing to the students that what they do now affects their future and basically convinces them to get involved in school activities such as the Future Flyer program. This program gives you the opportunity to achieve an extra highschool credit along with a college credit. They also work on fitness so we often have field trips to the YMCA, golf coarse, and etc.
