The Carthage High School has one of the best fine art departments around thanks to Dr. Baker and everyone else that is on the board of education. It has 2 show choirs called Suite Sounds (All girls) and Soundwave (Mixed). It has a good band as well.

Now the main thing of any high school is this. How well the education is and how well each student is setup for they're chance to going to a higher level of education such as college. The teachers here are amazing! They bring they're A game every time they go to school and they do they're best to help anyone that doesn't understand something by even going to the lengths of staying after school for long periods of time and have something called Tiger Tutoring for any subject.

All in all this high school is amazing and I would recommend anyone to give it a shot and go here. I would also recommend anyone to join a show choir as it is one of my favorite classes I have ever taken, and I will definitely remember it the rest of my life.

Carthage High School provided a learning environment which encouraged students to perform well and pursue their interests. However, the dual credit course options are limited, and for college-bound students this can present a problem. AP exam credits are more difficult to obtain than dual credits, but Carthage provides more AP opportunities than dual credit. The faculty and administration encourage clubs, sports, and activities to perform well and have fun. I enjoyed my time at Carthage and was involved with many facets of the school which improved my high school years.
My experience at Carthage High School has been average. Our school has great teachers, that I wish acted more interested in each one of their students. Carthage High School has great opportunities in all things from activities to athletics. There are so many ways for you to stay involved with the school, and get to know lots of other students. Our school does a lot to get ready for college, but doesn’t help us know how to get into college or teach us things about scholarships they offer. Carthage High School is probably one of the best schools in the area and I would highly recommend attending.
