Carroll High School has a large variety of classes offered, and has a friendly staff, although the school worships its athletes and writes off its intellectuals too quickly.
As far as extracurricular activities go, there is a good balance between academic clubs and athletics (although the latter is more appreciated and more well funded)
Finally, in terms of diversity, well, the school has none. A white, conservative, intolerant population unfortunately dominates the halls.
In terms of safety, well, unfortunately there have been several students who intended to perform school shootings, although luckily they were caught and arrested before they performed such deeds. However, the school administration tried to cover the whole thing up. Shameful!

Too many kids and not enough staff. Easy to slip between cracks. Guidance counselors don't have time for the number of students. Administration spends a great deal of time investigating and trying to find kids in wrongdoing. I actually asked for assistance my junior year (with the mental health counselor), but my problems were not as "urgent" as some of the others. I feel they did a huge disservice to me! Academics are strong and there is a great variety of classes. Athletics could be stronger for the size of the school. Some coaches need to retire and athletic department doesn't want to make changes for the betterment of the athletic programs. Overall it is a good school but the district would have been better suited adding a second high school. But instead they just added on to Carroll HS. A second high school would have given more athletic opportunities and smaller class size and teacher to student ratio.
The academics here are outstanding and there are lots of opportunities to get involved! However, most of the dual credit classes are through Ivy Tech, whose credits a) don't really apply to big 10 schools (where you find a lot of the students that graduate go to) and b) are an absolute hassle to work with. It can also be hard to get involved with athletics because they are exclusive to the top-of-the-line athletes, and there aren't very many club sports. The staff are very generous and kind though, and are a blessing to work with! They always take time out of their personal schedules to be there for the students whenever necessary.
