Carolina Day is a great school! The students are able to focus on studies and getting into a good college while making worth while relationships. The teachers don't only care about grading tests and lecturing, they work with the students to help them learn in ways that work for them. One thing that I really enjoyed about Carolina Day is the relationship I had with the administration. I took a lead in school spirit and volunteering. The administrators were more than willing to be apart of the growth in those aspects in our school. One thing that I would be excited to see change in at the school is diversity. Racial, socioeconomic, and even religion are all types of diversity that are not abundant in our school community. While the teachers are welcoming and accepting, I would be appreciative to see a bigger group of people in the school.

The teachers care so much about their students and devote ample time outside of class to ensure each student is set up for success. Unlike in many other school environments, teachers give the students a lot of respect to create a mature learning environment. As an alum of Carolina Day School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and currently attending NC State College of Veterinary Medicine, I can attest to how prepared Carolina Day School has made me to succeed in higher education. The school is rigorous, but the learning environment is collaborative rather than competitive. Because of my experiences at CDS, I learned how to budget my time and study efficiently to do well at UNC.
Our kids have phenomenal teachers -- the most engaged, child-centered group of teachers! We couldn't be more pleased with the education, sense of community and opportunities for our children at Carolina Day. Every single day, my children look forward to going to school & that says alot because three of them are in high school! They are being constantly challenged, but supported in areas where they need help. The administration is a very caring, knowledgable group. Just a great school and we are delighted!
