Carolina Academy is a great school and there are many different pros and cons, but they’re overall inability to not have favorite students based off of family name is very upsetting. If others were to commit the same acts of disrespect they would face immediate punishment but not some. The school is very family friendly and inviting but the money is in the students themselves. Because of the small classes, a class isn’t just a group of people working towards graduation, it’s a family working together and supporting eachother in their own individual endeavors!
Carolina Academy has an awesome program with great teachers who are always willing to help you if you are in a bind. My one issue with CA is that we are a bit behind the times when it comes to technology and even availability of classes. We still use the old 6 period schedule, which is nice, but, as a high school student, it would be nice, and more flexible, if we made the change to block.
C.A is missing on new technology and funding for students compared to the Public school option in this small town as well as offers much less academically and athletically than other Private S.C. schools. As of now, 2020 is only private predominately segregated school in this small town radius.
