I wish I could have gone to Carlsbad Seaside Academy right from the beginning. Unfortunately I did not go there until my senior year. I worked one-on-one with my one teacher. She was incredibly sweet and helpful. She assigned me my work and I would turn it in every 2 weeks. She was very flexible to my busy schedule and made it so much fun to come in and talk about everything I was learning. At the end, I had a project about how to manage money. That was relevant to my life and I really appreciated the assignment because it taught me things I could use for the rest of my life.

I was considered home schooled. I did the work I was assigned and then turned it into my teacher every two weeks. I didn't interact with other students at all, which is exactly what I wanted so I could completely focused on my education. I absolutely loved it. If you're not looking to go to school for the social aspect, I would definitely recommend it.
I felt very prepared for college after graduation. My teacher helped me so much in picking classes at Mira Costa. And since I graduated with a 4.0, I was awarded a $500 scholarship which helped in my first semester in community college.
