Overall a pretty solid school. Definitely some issues with certain teachers and how they treat students, but otherwise the teachers were fine. A few teachers were also fantastic, they taught the subjects in depth and well and they answered questions and were eager to help their students. It’s close to the beach and Carlsbad Village which is nice when it gets hot out. Football games and dances are extremely well put together and are super fun and filled with high energy. Overall, not too much to complain about!
Overall, at Carlsbad High I was given many opportunities to succeed. I’ve met amazing people and will miss them dearly. The spirit and the views around campus are amazing and surely can’t be overlooked. For me, the honors track teachers are amazing. From a musical standpoint, if you play an instrument, it would help to have a teacher or an outside ensemble from the school. I haven’t had the best high school experience due to some family circumstances, but CHS always felt like a great escape away from that and a place where I could feel normal. I’d just pick your friends wisely and be nice to everyone!
I love how spirited Carlsbad High School is. Every football game, dance, and event is well-thought out and incredibly fun! The diversity helps to create a welcoming environment where every student belongs. It is obvious how much the teachers love their students and job. They are always willing to answer any questions and help students understand the material. Carlsbad High School supports every art program, such as marching band, dance, and theatre. No other high school can compare to CHS.
