Pros:
-School has a very welcoming atmosphere, very home-like and nice people.
-New administration takes pride and works hard for the school.
-Very good food.
-Most teachers are nice, thoughtful, etc. Always open to questions and concerns.
-Convenient location, chain restaurants behind and students always grab food.
Cons:
-The roof is rarely ever tended to. This means that water sits and freezes after rainfall, and water seeps through holes, causing water damage in the ceiling. Buckets are always placed out.
-Not very financially stable.
-Overgrown, old athletic field. Very bare.
-School itself lacks necessary maintenance, is always dirty. Very little modernization or anything new. (Chipped walls, burned out lights, ceiling falling apart, etc.)
-Ants frequently spotted in herds in the cafeteria.

Cardinal O'Hara High School is full of kind students and caring teachers. It offers classes for students of all levels, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and classes for many different interests, such as an advanced painting class, culinary, and engineering. The teachers really care about their students and their success. When in-person schooling was put on pause during the pandemic, the teachers went above and beyond and taught over Zoom every day with enthusiasm and understanding regarding the difficulty of the new learning methods. Even over Zoom, however, the lessons were still engaging and informative, but still relaxed as everyone was facing a hard situation. Cardinal O'Hara also has monthly masses and has religion classes, which seek to not only teach the Catholic faith but also form caring and informed citizens. O'Hara also offers fall, winter, and spring sports that are open to everyone to play.
The school is not terrible, them one good thing about it is that there is a lot of diversity among the student population and a few sports such as soccer and basketball are pretty good. However enrollment in extremely low and that is defiantly the fault of administration. The school lacks school spirit and myself and many fellow student feel as though they don't allow any type of fun. Everything is always a big deal at the school, and administration always loves to get involved with things that they just should stay out of. Teachers constantly leave, and the amount of homework the school gives is ridiculous. There is no help in preparing students for SAT and many students are completely unprepared for Regents exams and end of the year finals. Also a lot of students there are quite petty and will not be able to handle the real world
