Cardinal O’Hara is a catholic institution located in a rural area. The students that attend my high school come from very diverse backgrounds and religions. Even though O’Hara is a Catholic School they are open to students of all believes.
Seeing this acceptance all around me, helped me to become a more round adult. Then by being being more rounded I am able to better my community.
The teachers and staff are there to help you in the morning, in afternoon, and even on their own time. We have everything thing is to offer a young mind and body. They have a music program, dance, and all sports! I played basketball and baseball and all of my facilities were great. My coaches we dedicated to improving me not only as an athlete but as a student first, so I could move forward to the next step in life.

O'Hara was so fun! The teachers cared about preparing us for college. I loved Mrs. Sarkees' wild stories in between teaching us about the Old Testament. I love Mr. Brown's eclectic and unique way of teaching English and to understand and love Shakespeare. I really came into my own in sophomore year and I was determined to have as much fun and learn as much as I could. I took advantage of every privilege and opportunity seniors were given such as Cairo's, the big buddy program, and the senior fashion show. I loved all my teachers and graduation was so much fun but was also bittersweet because I knew that life was going to change after high school. I was right; Adulting is fun and freeing until you have to pay back your student loans. I wouldn't change my experience at cardinal O'Hara high school for anything.
As a sophomore I transferred to Cardinal O'Hara. I did not know anyone, I wasn't used to the area and it was a lot bigger than the school I had previously gone to so I thought I'd hate it. Nevertheless, it became my home and I've had the best experiences of my life there. The school is beautiful, the athletics, and extra curricular are wide ranged. I've met so many different types of people through classes, trips, and dances. The religious aspect is incorporated with beautiful masses, and kairos which was my favorite experience at O'Hara. It's such a family atmosphere I really loved it. The only think I would change would be the diversity, I would like to see more students and teachers of color.
