On top of being the most beautiful and diverse campus in our school district, Capuchino is a great place to get involved at school. It's really all about accepting and creating opportunities for yourself whenever possible - all you have to do is ask. Ask for job openings, internships, an application to start a club, programs to get yourself involved with, and anything else you'd want! Besides that, teachers, although not all, are almost always approachable and connect well with students. Staff on the other hand are pretty good but there were issues this past year regarding the final decisions about the vice principal, the job performance of the principal, and the new bell schedule, despite student and family input. Capuchino may not be a prefect school but it has so many resources for students to use, it's just that not all students take advantage of them.

My favorite part about Capuchino High School is its committment to diversity and school pride. We're probably the only school in the district that has posters with "welcome" in several world languages and gay pride flags in the science hall. We even decorated for Black History Month! If you participate in the IB program, as I do, you'll find that the teachers are incredibly intellectual (some have even been research scientists at NASA!) and willing to stay for hours after school to give you exam prep and sometimes snacks. I have definitely encountered some people who create drama and teachers that are substandard, but that can be fixed with social navigation and initiative to ask for help from other teachers.
I like Capuchino's spirit. This school has a beautiful campus, and I always feel extremely privileged every time I walk into the Upper Spirit Court and view the Palm trees, the Spanish influenced architecture on the buildings, and of course, the weather. Not only is it aesthetically wonderful, it's extremely diverse in it's population and places lots of significance on school spirit, creating a safe and welcoming environment. I dislike the food, and certain teachers have attitude problems, or don't teach well. I also feel the school needs more varied courses.
