Overall Captain Shreve is a fun, well round school. Their are a lot of AP classes and a magnet program. The people up there are nice & friendly. The teachers are willing to work with you if need extra help. They have after school tutoring for math. We help the community a lot there. Captain Shreve has all types of clubs & national honors society! We have a A in academics. There's food brought on campus to us. We have security all around the school. The sports are amazing and we have this fun rival with the school across town. The Byrd and Shreve games be the best games to go too! You can meet all types of people there's from all different cultures and we get to learn more about them. Parents have a ceremony for the kids who've done good their semester. Captain Shreve really show how they appreciate their students academica ethic, sports ethic, and school involvement!
Captain Shreve High School is my home. It showed me the real high school experience, without it being too big. Friday nights became such an important part in my life. My love for football started there. I met tons of new people and became involved in the school. Like most high students, I was a student athlete for three years. The love of most of my teachers made me enjoy school more. Showed us not all teachers are scary! I would not want anything to change at Captain Shreve. For the way it is, I would not be who I am today. Very sad to leave it all behind in four months.
If I had to do it all over again, id definitely choose Shreve. The reason why is because when I first came in as a freshman, i was like most and didnt really know what to do there or what was the "style" there, but the teachers guided me on the very first day into clubs/organizations, sports, performing arts, and everything else they offer. I went easy my freshman year and didnt really do anything because all of my friends werent doing anything at the time. But now, ive been involved in the CSHS spirit group for 3 years now and am still loving every minute of it. Yes, Shreve makes you work, but at the end its totally worth the smiles and cheers and fans going crazy. Shreve is a dream place to be when you are dedicated and wanting somewhere to be that includes family. Thats what shreve is- FAMILY!
