Being at Caprock Academy since 5th grade has been one of the most rewarding choices my parents and I could have made. Caprock has done nothing short of preparing me for my next steps after high school by allowing me to have access to SAT prep, College admissions and scholarships guidance. I am truly thankful for being able to be apart of the Caprock Academy community and it has been the best schooling choice for me to better my education and future.

Caprock Academy, is the school that cares a lot about their education and how the students receive it. The curriculum is a classical curriculum which is different than other high schools in the valley. However this doesn't make students incapable of college, Caprock Academy help students extremely when it comes to prepping for college.
This school would be excellent for elementary and middle school students, but for high school? Adding secondary school to this struggling institution was a big mistake. Its not so much the education, but what gets in the way of a high schoolers education. As this is a charter school, uniforms are required and enforced at such a stringent level, students are unable to learn, for an administrator will disrupt the entire class to point out what student is wearing a jacket, instead of a knit material white, blue, grey, or red sweater. Dress code muddles the school's meaning, and the administrators that rule this institution should never be near children, much less try to govern a school of 700 kids. How the school operates is inefficient and backwards-- while most schools embrace technology and use it as a learning device, Caprock prefers to ban every electronic. Computers have been banned until this year, and even then, if a laptop has internet access, the student could lose their computer. The teachers, who work with these students every day, seem mystified at why administrators uphold the ridiculous policies they do. The teachers make this school, but how the school functions has ruined my overall learning experience.
