To be ingulfed in such a wonderful placed revolved around citizenship and tradition shaped me be the leader and bright women I am today. Throughout my four years at Cape Fear I was able to evolve my mind and character which therefore allowed me to expand my education with limitless possibilities. Change respresents growth and wisdom, and all I hope for my school is to not engross themselves in silliness like dress code and cell phone policies but to strive to focus on creating wonderful students with free minds and big hearts because Colt Pride Never Stops.

I loved Cape Fear primarily because of the amazing staff that they had. Every teacher was dedicated to teaching his or her students curriculum regardless of differences between race or ethnicity. Our Principal was dedicated to excellence and not only pushed those who were already destined for it, but also those who hadn't yet developed a strong work ethic. In spite of Cape Fear's renown as an achieved NC Public school, it still has room for improvement. The level of organization with which the Spanish Honors society was held together was very lethargic. This was a result of the lack of sponsorship with which the administration advertised it. The Society was hard to promote because it was new and primarily because it was a foreign language society. Cape Fear needs to improve the quality of its foreign language department and create new ways to make foreign language engaging and fun to the students that attend the school.
The best thing about Cape Fear High School is the involvement of the community. Our school has experienced its fair share of hardships, and I've witnessed our community come together in support of those in need. Whether it's fundraisers, concerts, food drives, etc., our community is always willing to help. Our principal, Mr. Spruill, always refers to past, present, and current Cape Fear graduates as a colt nation family. I've witnessed that testimony over the past four years. There is always outreach offered to the colt community, which is not always prevalent in today's society.
