Cape Fear Academy Reviews
Rating 4.28 out of 5 54 reviews
Finishing our 2nd year with one each in the LS and US. CFA has exceeded our expectations. Beginning with an admissions process that is efficient and individualized, it seems every staff member is invested in knowing our kids and empowering them to “Go Further”, which happens to be the school’s motto and could not be more apt. Communications are clear and transparent. If I’ve ever had a question and don’t know who to ask, it doesn’t matter. Everyone and anyone is friendly and helpful, and if they don’t know the answer they direct me to whomever does. There is any number of extracurricular activities and clubs. Participation is encouraged and embraced for all measures of previous experience from novice to expert. Academics are outstanding. Our girls are learning beyond our wildest dreams. We looked at several similar schools across the nation and feel CFA is a veritable bargain for our investment. Hands down, it is the best decision we could have made for our children.
Cape Fear Academy has done an amazing job educating our children and their ability to shift to remote learning so quickly and effectively is just one more example of how great their teachers are! The continued focus on the whole child and their well being, not just academics, throughout what feels like a never ending pandemic is impressive. I can't say enough great things about this school!
I loved the theatre department; NCTC and the musicals were definitely highlights of my high school experience. The school was very clique-ish. Most of the students lived in the same neighborhood and knew each other from childhood, so for those who are just entering as a high school student it may be hard to make bonds. The academics were great! I felt fully prepared for college. CFA taught us how to manage our time with flex days and the work load while participating in extracurriculars in and outside of school. Cape Fear also emphasized community service which is important always but especially once you graduate.
