Canyon Heights Academy Reviews
I want to share about our great experience at Canyon Heights. Our child was at a really good private school previously, but we suspected there were more successful and positive learning environments out there. Thanks to an acquaintance mentioning Canyon Heights, we visited and transferred (it has been about 6 years). We are so grateful that this school exists. We've consistently been so impressed with the thoughtfulness of the academics, engaging teachers and formation. It seems to be a place where all or most children feel special (and they are!), where kids want to be smart, and where their different interests and personalities are encouraged to shine. There are competitive sports, choir, sport clinics, ukulele lessons, etc., and a chapel on campus with a full-time chaplain who is engaged with the students and family- it's a wonderful community!
We had two children go PK to 8th grade at Canyon Heights and we would do it over again. As they are over halfway through high school we see the benefits of their CHA education and formation. They are grounded in their faith, articulate and have demonstrated the ability to make tough decisions based on their formation. Today you see many smart kids, but how many can articulate their ideas? This is a critical skill I think CHA developed in them. Great school community as well. Highly recommend.
We have been at Canyon Heights for 2 years now in middle school and our daughter loves it. Her classes are very engaging, the teachers work very hard and are always available when they are needed. There is a good balance of homework. The administration is always very present and responsive. The community of parents is also extremely nice, and the kids are also very supportive of one another.
