I love Canton High School. It has the benefits of a small school, meaning it’s extremely community oriented, while at the same time providing a surprising amount of resources. The teachers and staff are supportive and compassionate. I have had both a 5o4 and IEP with the district, and in my experience, the district is responsive and helpful. It’s outside of the administrations’ control, but I wish the school were more diverse, and there is a statewide lack of vision specialists that affect some of my services through the school, which is unfortunate.

The teachers assign way too much work for their students and assume they can figure out everything. It is extremely difficult to get an A in Canton. The kids are extremely stressed out because of this heavy work load. Also, the administration and guidance department does not do their job well. They care more about academics and being in class rather than personal matters, and will do anything to keep their reputation. However, being in college now, I can say that the difficulty of Canton has prepared me for college very well.
Canton High School is just your average small town high school. There's not much to say besides that the teachers and staff members genuinely care about their students. It makes you feel much more welcome and safe knowing you are cared for. I wished that there were more opportunities to try new classes without any downsides. Most of the students in Canton have lived there for their whole lives, which could be both good and bad since gossip spreads like wild fire. The town is very safe and the security in the school is satisfactory, cameras in the halls, automatic locks on all doors, etc. Overall Canton is a great school, everyone is full of school spirit and a love for sports. The only problem was how the students acted towards others, like
I mentioned earlier; it's a small town and a small school.
