The teachers are great as well as the academics but they put out a front to the parents. There isn't much diversity when it comes to students and they don't accept kids with disabilities because it supposedly will lower their AZ merit scores. I love most of the teachers but the head of school is out of control. She has fired some of the best teachers out of spite and jealousy. There isn't much time for the elementary kids to play and the playground is minuscule. The academics have helped prepare me for life but some of the policies are ridiculous. I also watched them take away a kindergartener's lunch because there fruit snacks inside had one gram of sugar over the guidelines.

It’s sad that someone posted the inaccurate and misleading information above. If someone were to accurately report the data, they would tell you our effective retention rate is 87%, not 70%. Most of our turnover this past year is from teachers moving out of town. Clearly, that person doesn’t want you to enjoy our school as an employee. To that, we just say come and see. Come talk to our staff, watch what makes us tick, and learn of what makes us cutting edge when it comes to the employee experience. On behalf of the entire staff, we look forward to meeting you.
The kids and scores are good, but the parents and administration are out of control. If you care about your overall well-being and sanity, do not work here. They talk a lot about building a positive culture, but instead they’ve built a culture of fear. They lost ~30% of their teachers last year. To my knowledge, Candeo has never had that significant of a teacher turnover rate. The school is a ticking time bomb, and I would not be surprised if it shuts down with in the next 10 years.
