I've lived in the Smyrna Area my entire life, so the idea of attending Campbell High as my High school Alma Mater has been inevitable. Before attending the school, i had heard the typical things a freshman hears when they start high school, "the bad parts" of the high school experience. I started high school as a freshman in the height of the Covid lockdown, not attending till sophomore. The school in itself feels like one big community. During the covid-19 lockdown, Campbell did its best efforts to make the school feel like a community regardless of it being pure virtual students. Even if you don't know someone, something will happen within the school and all the students seem to come together. Having the largest campus and only IB Baccalaureate program in cobb county, i'm lucky to have met diverse groups of peers with diverse means of thinking.
I like observing and learning about the students and teachers of Campbell High School. Throughout my years at Campbell, especially my junior year, I have greatly enjoyed looking forward to going to school and interacting with people. I have learned about why people are the way they are for instance, the past and present experiences that shape the way they act. I like that I shared my experience with Jesus Christ with others and was able to be an instrument for the kingdom of God. There were many laughs and enjoyable moments in the social aspect.
Academic wise, my teachers and studies were great. My teachers were invested in my learning. I had many opportunities to grow in my studies. With the continual encouragement and dedication of my teachers, I learned/enhanced principles of discipline and being proactive. These, among other habits I intend to strengthen and use through my life.

Campbell High school allowed me to become a part of the International Baccalaureate program, which I am grateful for. IB has so far given me an education where I have the ability to obtain college level classes in high school without having to do dual enrollment. This being said, I am exposed to a completely different education than other students in the rest of CHS. The IB students are separated into another social and academic life. The IB students are often looked at with a predetermined judgement from the general population of the school that they are snobby and think highly of themselves, which creates a clear division in the school. Outside of academics, CHS does not offer much when it comes to extracurriculars, with a lacking of school spirit and “fun” events. The sports teams are average, (or below average) with a lack of funding in all sports. My time spent at school is overall not enjoyable, even when I try to make my school days well spent.
