I have met incredible people that have helped me academically but to grow as an individual. My high school did affect my work ethic but I was also had many opportunities to be involved more and try new things. I discovered I loved ceramics, I have many incredible memories from playing in the girl's soccer team, and volunteering with my peers has affected my social skills. If I had to change something about my school I would like to see the arts have more recognition.
I love this high school. It has its downsides of course but it’s upsides almost wipe those away entirely. They have great student involvement in activities and everyone that attends has great Camel Pride. The teachers seem to care about the students and also take a part in activities and supporting the students in extra curricular activities.
I appreciate how much the administration cares about their students success. The staff is very helpful and really tries to help students succeed, part of their initiative is creating the NHI policy which I believe has definitely helped students succeed.
Some things I liked about campbell county include the variety of classes available to take, the employees are all very helpful and kind and the school spirit at games and during spirit weeks especially. Being a senior this year was definitely not what I was expecting my senior year to be like but I know that my school district did everything they could for us seniors and everyone else during NTI days they were all very helpful and I am very grateful for that. One thing I hope that can improve with time and generations is the amount of drama and cliques. Every school has them I mean it is hard not to have cliques but it's when the cliques start to have drama between them that it gets ugly and we all know drama can cause students to not be able to focus on the important things like school work. Therefore I hope that we can find a way to eliminate so much drama for the sake of the students having more stress burdens than they need to have.
CCHS is a very well funded school, unfortunately, most of the funding went to sports, and as an arts student, that meant not very much funding for us. The drama department had to work selling concessions at sporting events to pay for plays, competitions and things like that. We had to swim time, line judge volley ball, and similar things to pay for our choir uniforms. The district did pay for half of student trips, and the drama teachers invested to help students go to State Drama, which they shouldn't have had to do. That being said, we had amazing arts programs considering the rural community, and compared to other schools.
I like that you can take college classes while also getting highschool credits. I would like to see people that are always alone have friends that don’t use you and then leave. The school should work on not just favoriting the athletes.
I feel that my time at Campbell County High School has helped me with life after high school and being prepared for college.
School focuses around sports. Clubs and other activities do not get near as much attention. The school is very good about preparing you for college but not very good about informing the different options to do this so you need to ask or really know more about it.
Campbell County High School, in Gillette, WY, is not just a place where I will just think back to in the future as "where I went to high school", but as the place where I was able to grow and develop who I am. With phenomenal teachers that are willing to offer academic and life advice, guidance, and faith in their students, Campbell County really has helped me cultivate many valuable skills that will aid me in my future career life. I have learned how to advocate for myself, be more confident in who I am, and that mistakes are not an indication of failure, but of ambition and growth. My high school may not be the most diverse or cultured one there is, but it definitely offers extraordinary academic and activity resources that help you develop your persona and friendships that will have an impact on you for the rest of your life. I am no doubt proud of being a student of Campbell County High School
I graduated from here, they are a great school and have made some awesome improvements. Their Marching Band program and Drama programs are the best.
The teachers at Campbell County High School really loved their jobs and loved what they were doing, They always wanted the best for their students, however I wish it was a little less cirriculum focused.
The support for all extracurriculars is very appreciated, your whole community supports what you do.
Overall, I generally had really good teachers who cared about my progress and helped me get to where I am.
Our school has the best safety program that I know of in the district. Campbell County High School is always finding new and better safety precautions and measures to keep our students safe. In fact our school just implemented a new security program that scans your drivers license, to see if you committed any crime that is over a felony. There are cameras all around the school, both inside and outside. There are push button camera locks that the attendance/campus supervisor have the ability to unlock at the major access doors of our school. Each time you have to enter the building you have to push the button, and the camera gives the office staff a view of who is entering the building, if you given permission to enter the building the door will be unlocked for you remotely. Our school particulates in the Ovious bullying prevention program that conducts surveys that asses the amount of bullying and drug use in our school. Our school is split in to two campuses that are fully equipped with the same security systems, school resource officers and nurses. All of the staff ensure the safety of students, with different safety drills performed each month, ranging from school intruder drills, to fire drills.
There are several different clubs and organizations to join. If a student finds that there is not a club that they are interested in, they have not looked hard enough to find one, these clubs are so diverse and welcoming. I belong to several different club in CCHS, just like a large amount of other students. The clubs are a majority after-school groups, that receives the best administrative support, that anyone could ask for. All of the clubs and organization are extremely popular, and have large memberships within them. All clubs have a large commitment levels of students.
Campbell County High School (CCHS) is one of the best secondary 4A schools in the state of Wyoming. CCHS offers the best education our state can offer, from the best core classes(regular to duel-enrollment college classes) to career technical education, and fine arts/performing classes. There are several clubs, organization, and sports that CCHS participates in. Ranging from foot-ball, to Future Farmers of America. All of the clubs are sponsored by the greatest teachers our district has to offer and are strongly active within our community. There are so many clubs, and sports that are so diverse that there is no reason to not be in any of them. The education that I have received and will continue to receive at this school is top notch. The teachers that I currently have and the ones that I have not had the opportunity to have are, the most knowledgeable in their perspective area and also the kindest. They are willing to take time out of their personal life to work with you, to make you more successful in and out of school.
The teachers at Campbell County High School, are some of the best in the state of Wyoming. They are more then willing to go out of their way to help the students in their classes. The teachers are knowledgeable in their perspective area, and offer a high quality of education to their students. Our school offers a large amount of duel-enrollment college and AP classes, with the teachers, teaching both the AP/ college credit classes, while teaching regular level courses. When it comes to grading, the teachers have their own schedule in which they take to grade assignments. Some teachers are able to score and enter grades within the day, while others enter grades with in the week or month. Our district makes it a priority that all teachers are providing a quality education to the students. Our teachers make sure the students are having success in and out of the classroom, and if not, there are resources that they can recommend to make success happen. All of the teachers are able to communicate effectively to the students. They are able to offer several examples to aid discussions, if one example specifically did not work.
