Camellia Waldorf School Reviews

I have been a parent at Camellia since 2010 and it has been such a game-changer for our family. Not only has Camellia educated my children, but the hands-on learning approach and wholesome environment have instilled a love of learning in all of my children. All three love going to school and I love that! My oldest child is now in high school and he is doing great. Not only is he prepared academically, but he is confident, happy and able to think for himself. The friends my children have made and the friends my husband and I have made are quality relationships that we value. Furthermore, the parent education offered by the class teachers has really helped me to become the best parent I can be.

Our two girls have been at Camellia for preschool and kindergarten now. Our oldest started in preschool as a very quiet child - but she has thrived here. The teachers show such care and attention to her as an individual. We love the Waldorf's approach to allowing the child to develop in their own time frame without pushing academics and desk time on them too soon. While they start of slowing at Waldorf - they finish so strongly - the vast majority of graduating 8th graders are testing at a junior or senior high school level or even a college freshman level in most subjects! Our middle child is in the outdoor preschool and she loves being able to explore and get all her wiggles out every day. The fellow parents are such a joy to get to know also! Can't say enough good things about this school, the teachers, and the community.
My children are excelling at Camellia Waldorf School. My 6th grader is well on her way to falling within what standardized testing of Camellia students shows: year after year, they perform at 11th grade to college freshmen level for all academic subjects. The academics at Camellia are extraordinary.

But, what I'm even more excited about is that my children are happy, engaged, and optimistic. That is no small thing in this day and age. I am confident that, when they enter the great wide world as young adults, they will have the fortitude, drive, and self-knowledge to determine their own path in life while being mindful of others and ethical in their conduct. My spouse and I credit Camellia Waldorf School for this, and we couldn't be happier parents.
