Cambridge High School Reviews
Rating 3.99 out of 5 207 reviews
Great school! All my three children have been very happy there. Remarkable track record of academic excellence, supported by seasoned and caring teachers, staff and administration. Very competitive in sports, arts, and a other extra-curricular activities. Wide array of students’ clubs to join. Recognized as one of the schools with best behavioral reputation and positive environment in the county.
This school is average in most accounts, I deducted three stars since this school had majorly inept safety procedures, bad management, and poor overall living standard. Some examples, they put gates on most boys restrooms which barred everyone from entry, they installed a door in the senior lot that only unlocked after communicating over a pa to the front office and showing an ID card (this door was usually propped open), and they had multiple false alarms for hard lockdowns which teachers would ignore. I was constantly frustrated by new admins removing great programs such as freshman public speaker half days (growl), afternoon clubs (claws), and freshman mentorship programs (paws). Furthermore, lunches were split into fourths leaving small groups to scarf down their food before the bell and many great teachers quit due to the lax punishments for skipping, failing, and disrupting class. I do not recommend Cambridge high school unless the admins have a quick and decisive reality check.
I love Cambridge High School. The interaction among students, faculty, staff and others to include volunteers is outstanding. When I initially began as a Freshman, I had a slight fear. But it took a short period of time for me to realize nothing had changed since my middle school days. There has always been awesome communication and understanding despite the circumstances. The office staff is very knowledgeable and friendly regardless of semester or time of year. I couldn’t ask for a better school system if I tried. I just wish and pray that my children are blessed with the same in the future!
