Cambridge Friends School Reviews
Rating 4.77 out of 5 13 reviews
Our daughter has had a wonderful kindergarten experience at Cambridge Friends. The community is diverse, engaged, and supportive and the teachers are wonderful. We've especially been impressed with the friendly and casual feel of the school, and with the depth of resources. Our daughter loves the extended day program (which is nice for us parents too!) Even in the unique COVID times, the school works to create a community which is appreciated. The school has managed the challenges of COVID in a pragmatic and transparent way which inspires confidence in the administration. In terms of education, the student-teacher ratio is impressive and we really see the impact of it in the feedback we get from teachers about our daughter and the ability to customize classroom activities to world events and questions from the kids. We're thrilled to be at CFS and recommend it highly!
Our family is absolutely thrilled and grateful to be part of the CFS community. Small class sizes, diverse communities and wonderful teachers really help us feel seen and cared for as a family. I especially appreciate the thoughtfulness to which this school communicates with families both on an individual basis, and as a community. Between photos and notes sent home on classroom happenings to the school newsletter, we feel informed and connected. The after school program is a huge highlight for our child (and our family).
I can't say enough about how great Cambridge Friends School has been for our family. Each and every teacher my kids have had has been AMAZING, and the parent community is an incredible group of people. I appreciate that CFS truly does focus on the individual needs of each kid. I like the small class size and project based learning. I strongly value the focus CFS places on social justice, not just in words but in practice. And as a queer family, I appreciate that our family has not only been accepted but celebrated. Different family structures have been included in classroom experiences from the beginning, and my kids attend "Rainbow Kids" with other kids from queer families. My kids have always had peers and teachers reflecting their own experience, something I am grateful for! CFS is a school like no other - I am grateful to be part of such a wonderful community!
