CCS Named National Blue Ribbon School 2020

CCS Lower School is a 2020 recipient of the National Blue Ribbon Schools award! Our school is one of 367 schools in the nation, one of 11 schools from Florida, and 1 of 50 non-public schools in the nation to be recognized in 2020. While our staff is continually encouraged to promote student academic achievement, our greatest triumph is embodied in the student that knows Christ.

In attending the school since the first grade, I was able to experience various changes over the years. Despite any sort of bump, the school was generally able to maintain a sufficient, Christian culture. I greatly appreciated the rigorous academics available to me in high school, but really wished there was more opportunities to study in the English and History areas. My teachers were always seeking my own success and were willing to do anything for me to get it. I was able to talk to teachers as friends, but also have them as mentors. Overall, I would not have wanted to graduate from anywhere else - it will forever be one of my favorite homes because of the teachers and warmth there.

I love the compassionate christian atmosphere provided by the faculty. I believe that Cambridge has evolved in the years that I have been there and it continues to evolve. I would like to see changes in the sporting facilities and more involvement in clubs. I believe that the academics aspect is great, as long as students continue to challenge themselves. However, the multiple changes in teachers during the school year takes a toll on the effectiveness of their education.
This is my 18th year at CCS. I was a parent for 9 years before coming to work here at the school I love. Both my children have been loved, mentored, poured into & supported here more than I could ever ask for. This school partners with parents to help their child develop his/her full potential through Christ. Preparation is key. Academic preparation is always important, as we are a College Prep school, but life preparation is essential. You can’t put a dollar amount to the countless hours students spend learning that there is something bigger than themselves. In a world that is all about "selfies” it's a priceless lesson to learn to serve and lead through God's precious Word. No school, no matter how much the tuition, can guarantee success for your child. But we can guarantee that a Biblical Worldview will be shared, the seeds of faith will be planted and maybe, just maybe, we can touch the life of a child and family for the better. That's what the Lancer Community is all about!
