Cambria Center for the Gifted Child Reviews

2 reviews
Many of the parents try to be involved. The administration and teachers are not equipped to prepare the children for 21st century educational expectations. There was no problem solving taught, critical thinking or how to write and respond to text. The school is good for prek to first grade. When parents inquire about what learning standards are being addressed the administration label the parents as a problem. They bully and encourage cliques. They are more concerned about putting on shows and talking about Independent Schools. The children graduate the 8th grade unable to compete or get into specialized High Schools. While the local middle is offering Regents courses, CCGC is stuck in the 70s.

Very good academically. Not a large school so if the child likes to be a big fish in a small pond this is the place for them. That is also a negative, no cafeteria, you have to pay for everything since not publicly funded. Students very well behaved and intelligent.
