Clavin Christian High School has great academics. They offer many different sports to play. Parents can get involved in almost everything if they would like! There is a fair share of remarkable teachers here at CCHS. Our hot lunch food that is offered here is top of the line unless you suffer from a food allergy, then there are fewer options to choose from. CCHS is a predominately white school, and the building, (although they are trying to update it with new furnishings) is slightly out of date.

I love how this school is centered around Christianity and that it is a close-knit community. It is a high achieving school with high GPA's and very accomplished teachers. However, the issues come in with the students. It is a very clique filled school with lots of animosity towards new people or changes in the status quo. Many students have left because of bullying issues. Also, this school, because it is so small, is very closed off in how it views the world. Change happens slowly there. Also, there is no LGBTQ+ club. Also, the music, drama, and arts departments are good but very underbudgeted.
Academically, Calvin's strong suits are in Mathematics and Science. The teachers in those two areas are the most experienced and can control the classroom. Calvin offers a lot of sports which is great and is the best way to form friendships within the school. The one thing that was hard on me was diversity. There are a lot of exchange students all from Korea or China. Other than that including me there were about 10 minorities. The teachers fail to see that racism is a thing at Calvin and I felt uncomfortable pretty often in my four years there. But other than that pretty good school.
