Calvary Day School is a great place to be. The culture of love and care is extended from staff to students every day. The facilities are great and improving every day and the security is unmatched in the Savannah area with cameras, 100% locked campus, and full-time security staff.
Teachers, faculty, and other staff provide a very supporting environment. Your child will certainly know someone is there for them and puts a lot of love and time into the students.
My son goes to the school and he loves it. The teachers are great they are always responsive to questions. We receive feed back on his school work daily and if he needs to adjust issues they are very willing to help out .
I really enjoyed my experience at Calvary. I will say that the teachers really look out for you if you put in hard work and try your hardest. No one is out to get you even if you feel that way. Calvary is NOT a school that will give you nothing but easy classes. It is up to oneself to push through and use their resources given by the school in order to succeed. I will say that I struggled in the beginning and then began to improve year by year leading me to college readiness and a better understanding of having a relationship with God.
Calvary was a great school for me and I loved how caring the teachers were. I liked that the classes weren't real big and it was a close knit group of students.
Great experience for my son. He really enjoyed the Calvary family. I didn't like the hike in tuition. Making lunch fees mandatory part of the tuition.
I treasure the relationships made with my teachers and friends during my time at Calvary. The Pastor, Head Master and all the educators truly cared for the students. My education from Calvary has prepared me for my collegiate experience. The spiritual journey that I was on at Calvary fostered an environment for me to gain a closer relationship with God. My peers and I were not ashamed to show the love we have for worshiping and growing closer and closer to Christ. I will definitely take with me all of the life lessons learned at Calvary through my collegiate journey.
I liked that Calvary Day School had amazing teachers that cared about the student's success in and outside of the classroom. They could improve on the support in the Fine Arts department, but everything else was great, had an amazing 6 years at Calvary Day School.
Calvary has been not just a school, but it has been a family to me. When most people think about school, they dread it because they hate having to do the work and the teachers are bad. When it comes to Calvary, sure some days you just don't want to do the work because that's normal, but most days I enjoy going to school because I love all the teachers there and have good relationships with every single one of them.
I like the fact that Calvary is like a family in many ways. Calvary provides a second home for many students and athletes that allows students to be comfortable at school. Outside of academics and athletics, Calvary really focuses on putting God number one. I think this is a very important value and i am fortunate enough to attend a school where worshipping God is a great thing. While there are many great things Calvary encompasses, there are some things I feel that could be changed.
I attend this school and it is a very fun and active school. I’m only a freshman and the teachers really care about your success and prepare you for college. I’m taking AP classes at this school and at first it may be challenging but it’s good in the long run. I also enjoy the events, such as Class Games, because it allows the different levels of classes to interact with each other.
Calvary Day School is very diverse, has many options for clubs, and coaches that are determined to see their kids rise above any challenge. The teachers find any way to encourage students to try with all their effort as a way of prepping kids for the future.
I love everything about Calvary Day School. I have attended the school since 2nd grade and not once have I considered leaving the school. It is a family and everyone there cares about the others around them, it is a special place. I have made friends and connections that I will keep for my entire life. The teachers and academics have placed me in a situation to succeed in college. The sports teams focus not only on winning but also developing you as a young man or woman of God. They teach leadership and the idea of a team instead of individual accolades.
Calvary has great teachers, but the administration lacks communication with students. There seems to be quite a lot of disagreements with policy that the administration implements against the wishes of both teachers and students. Furthermore, the school is marketed as being extremely Christian, yet there still exists quite a bit of judgement and condemnation towards others who are different.
Academics are vigorous at Calvary Day School. Teachers at Calvary guarantee homework almost every night to ensure that you know the material. A Christian oriented school that instills the Word of God into the students to open their eyes to what God can in their lives. Calvary prepares students as they graduate to go off and do the very best they can. The education given prepares students to succeed in college without a problem. The staff and teachers are a support system that instills key points to survive in this world today. Overall Calvary is a top private school to attend for education and college readiness.
This is my first year in Calvary Day School and everyone here is so nice and so helpful. Teachers and other school staffs are willing to help you if you need anything.
I love the academics and everyone supports each other. The food and campus is great along with the teachers. The sports are amazing. I learn a lot from Calvary and I interact well with the students and teachers. It is fun at Calvary and it is a great experience. We are blessed to have what we have. We give back to the community and we help other people in need.
