It was ok. It is very small and this not able to offer anything in the form of visual arts. There are worse places, but there are better.
I have been going to Calvary Christian Academy since I was in kindergarten. The teachers are great and the academics are outstanding. The classes are smaller than a public school, which allows for a more personal interaction with the teachers. Any time a student has a problem, the teacher works with them until they fully understand the concepts. Calvary Christian Academy offers many extracurricular activities, including music lessons, soccer, and basketball. The students also get the opportunity to participate in plays, help plan the yearbook, and spend time with friends during educational field trips. The staff is very friendly and caring and the students are welcoming.
Very good school and very good academics. There are some flaws but that is normal of every school. Your personality plays a major role in the academics here. If you try to succeed, you will; but if you don’t care, your grades will quickly drop. I do think some of the rules are a bit restricting, like not being allowed to have phones on the bus ride home from a sports game, or the girls having to wear polos to school. There are still bad influences at a Christian school, but it is so nice to not be ashamed to worship God as a student body.
Calvary Christian Academy played a huge part in making me who I am today. The teachers really cared about me and wanted to see me grow. I was picked on a good bit and there was some favoritism shown but over all the problems are things I can overlook.
I did so much better at Calvary than at public school. I could concentrate better on my studies. I would like them to loosen the rules a bit, but overall it was a fun experience.
We love the small classes and how the girls can have more one on one time with the teacher's. The school also has great academics and a wonderful opportunity for sports participation and musical opportunities. Lastly, we love that they teach everything from a Christian perspective and chapel twice a week.
The teachers are very nice and will talk to you if you need advice.
Extracurricular activities are abundant at Calvary! There are a number of athletic programs such as soccer and basketball. And there is also opportunities to be apart of theatrical arts, music, science clubs and to write for the newspaper in the press club.
The health and safety at our school are excellent! You never have to worry about being bullied, being offered drugs, getting drunk, etc. It's a really safe atmosphere!
My experience at Calvary Christian Academy is great! I love the atmosphere of the school and the teachers as well! I am involved with many extracurricular activities at schools such as playing the piano for elementary and high school choir and acting in the different theatrical performances we do twice a year! I really love my school!
Everything about my school is great! It's a small high school of only 100 kids but everyone has an overall good attitude about going. The dress code is kind of strict (polo shirts and skirts) but it's fine! The school staff are all good Christians and they really encourage the students not only to do well in their academics but encourage them in their daily walk with God!
This was a small school in the basement of the church. Remodeled but not much natural light.
Teachers are very dedicated to the students and their Christian faith. I went to a small private Christian school. Instruction was excellent.
