Great for being in a Christian environment but that is the only encouraging factor. Doesn't include many to any at all sports, AP, extra curricular, or college opportunities. Its a good family friendly environment though. Some teachers lack experience and or the set skills in handling students properly.
calvary is an okay school. it started off pretty well and with a handful of other things to do. once i hit 6th grade, they dropped EVERYTHING. only thing they have is NHS and elementary sports. a handful of junior high ones, and basically no varsity sports. okay acedemics i guess, and teachers are pretty nice.
Great christian environment, teaching of morals is good, and christ centered. More college and SAT awareness is needed.
I've attended the school since kindergarten. It's very challenging academically but the the facility and teachers are with you every step
I attended Calvary for seven years and can wholeheartedly say that I enjoyed every aspect of it. The small class sizes allowed for one on one time with teachers and for personal relationships to grow. As a student there, school involvement was important not only to me, but to my peers as well. I made life long friends throughout my time here and still see the majority of my graduating class frequently.
Teachers clearly care about the students, though school administration and leadership do not take the necessary steps to build the school into an attractive place for parents to send their kids. It suffers from yo-yoing attendance that causes administrators to build staff, then slash it in neverending cycles.
The school is falling apart quicker than a jenga tower standing on one block, there are no sports, no electives, no extracurricular activities, and no school spirit. The school is now combining whole grades with each other in a last attempt to create a structured high school, unfortunately this will only cause the school to collapse under its own faulty teaching system.
we have a guidance counselor, tutoring, parent involvement, and technology. However, we could do better in each area, it's just very difficult with the amount of staff.
For the most part I think our school has average academics. It's enough to graduate, and you have a couple opportunities to take honors classes. We don't have enough honors classes though and we don't have any AP courses.
We have good programs, but we don't have as many as I wish because of the lack of students. if we had more students, we would have more teams and what not.
Our school definitely does all it can to keep you safe and make sure the staff and students are safe. The school has recently added in new gates and security systems to make sure the school is even safer. We practice drills that prepare us to be ready and know how to react in unsafe situations.
The teachers are so wonderful. They are dedicated, truthful, honest, loyal and very hardworking. They even sacrifice their own time to help you with anything you need. They're always available to talk, pray, and give guidance. Each teacher is personable, and real. Their love for the students and other staff is evident. They are each great inspirations and examples to everyone.
Our school provides opportunities to be on a sports team; mainly Baseball, Softball, Cheer, Volleyball, or Cross Country, where they compete against other same-division schools. We even hold our own annual Volleyball Tournament at the Rec. center which we use as our home gym. Students try to come out to the games to cheer the team on, and to have a good time.
The policies of the administration are very reasonable. Whenever there is an incident of someone breaking school policy, the principal and/or administrative staff get involved in an efficient and timely manner.
The academics provided at the school serve their purpose in providing students with the necessary courses they need to attend a four-year college. Though there are a limited amount of teachers, necessary precautions are taken to ensure that each student has a fair chance at succeeding in their academic endeavors.
