Great school, attended K-12 and didn't regret a single day! Had a great educational experience and was able to have a successful time in High School especially

This school has some of the best teachers! I literally have only had 2 teachers that I wasn't so fond of from first grade through high school. I do wish that there was more help with writing for all grades, but overall it is an awesome school. I can't say that I would recommend this school for everyone, but it was a really good fit for me. Many families join CAVA because it is more flexible for their schedule, especially military families, and aspiring actors. I also know families who go back and forth between brick-and-mortar schools and CAVA, and that works great. This program has let me learn about what works best for me as a student, and I think that almost every student needs to try something like this!

The teachers at California Virtual Academy are incredibly diverse and offer very interesting perspectives to their students. Many of the teachers are incredibly hardworking and do everything to ensure their students succeed. The online, non-traditional culture at CAVA celebrates individuality and innovation, and students are encouraged to express themselves through their assignments. There are some teachers, especially those who come from traditional educational backgrounds, who can be overly strict and unresponsive to the diverse needs of their students, but they are far outnumbered by those who are understanding and the administration is very receptive to family complaints.
