Our daughters have thrived at California Lutheran! The academic rigor has definitely prepared them for college and the teachers deeply care about each student and their success. Our daughters have loved to be involved with so many other activities too. Cal Lutheran has a highly respected athletic program that competes very well. The drama performances and involvement in student government have been very well organized and enjoyable too. The student body overall gets along well displaying Christian character in their interactions with each other. I would highly recommend California Lutheran as the high school of your choice!
I have had an overall very good experience at CLHS, and I have the caring and helpful teachers and fun, friendly students to thank for that. The teachers here want the absolute best for you, and will make personal sacrifices to ensure your success. The students here are some of the nicest people I know, and while not everyone gets along, you will see no sign of malice or bitterness form one student to another. However, while the small number of students creates a close atmosphere, it limits the amount of types of people you can aquatint yourself with. This may bother you if you feel the need to be extremely social and always be meeting new people, but if you enjoy and appreciate the feeling of a close, smaller family, then this is the school for you.
