I love going to Cal High School. One thing in particular is being accepted to the Architecture and Engineering Academy. I have learned so much and I have also made a lot of friends through the academy as well.
The food would be the one thing I would change, because it is something that isn’t healthy for all the students. I liked the atmosphere most of all and how uplifting it always was. The school is in a good community, where everyone is always there for each other and it makes the school be a nice and safe space.
I'm only a sophomore but so far I really love this school! Everybody is really nice and very chill. The teachers that I have had are very good and fair.
It's a decent school however the academics and resources could be improved, some gems in the teachers with some of the teachers being amazing about teaching for life and helping with life experiences however for the most part its a decent school with no true significance, the culture is pretty okay could be better.
What I loved about this school was how the teachers and staff were supportive and demonstrated how much the wanted you to succeed. Even though it is good that they direct us towards a path to college, college isn't for everyone so the only thing I would change is to create other options for students that do not want to go to college. I wish they could have ore help in that category and help student continue their path whether they decide to go to college or not. other than that, they do a very good job at trying to find the best college for you and help you figure out what you would want to do. The classroom buildings are very organized so it is not difficult t navigate around campus. It is a positive secure community to be around, I like that they really challenge you to help you succeed.
the people and all the opportunities I was given to get to my dream collages, and places where I want to go after high school.
It was a good school with good teachers.I do wish that they did more for us especially seniors during this pandemic.
California High School is a great high school with many opportunities for any student. There's a vast variety of clubs, electives, sports, academics, and programs in the school. Not to mention the great staff that makes the learning experience great!
Overall I had a pretty good experience here. All the teachers I had were kind and showed that they cared. There were many resources; especially during the pandemic with college applications. The college and career zone provided many opportunities for college application help. There are tons of clubs to join and quite a few academies to join as well.
My son has been attending Cal High for the last 4 years and let me say that his experience has been great and motivational. The main reason we chose Cal High was the academics program. My son's teachers have all been really involved as well as other parents. Club and activities are plentiful. Administration and safety in this school are top notch. They also have plenty of resources to get your kid ready for College. I highly recommend sending your kid to California High School in Whittier,CA!
Really good school focusing on successes as an individual after you graduate where going directly into a career, going into a 4-year program, or going out to a community college. Sports are usually really good, ralleys keep students involved and so so many clubs available of different types
I really liked the atmosphere of the school, in other words, the environment was really friendly and you can feel welcome and not feel out of place, at least in my opinion. The campus is also simple, but good. Nothing fancy or crazy, but good and easy to move around and find your classes.
My experience attending California High School was the best. There are many academics, sports, clubs, etc. to join, and getting involved is important because it's good for applications. The staff is amazing also counselors who are going to be there for you whenever you need anything. There is also after-school tutoring which is amazing for students who are in need of help can go and see if someone can help them with their homework. There are school events and games that everyone attends and it's the best thing out of everything is being able to hang out with friends and having a good time.
My experience so far has been a pretty pleasant one. The school itself is very pretty and the campus is very clean. Most if not all of the teachers are nice and respectful. There is a pretty wide variety of clubs that students can join. The sports programs are pretty good too. Last year our girl's water team won CIF in division 5 or 6 I believe. The school is semi-diverse. I feel very safe on campus and if I had problems I do believe I would be able to talk to staff members from my school. The food at school is very good as well. there is a widespread of different foods which I enjoy. I am a picky eater and knowing there's different options of food I like, makes me very happy. Overall I do like my school.
California High School offers many clubs, academies, and courses in which students can be involved in. The teachers and staff are very understanding and caring about their students.
Cal Hi is a great school to go to if you put your full effort forward. The teachers there seem to be going through the motions, but only because the students are too. If there's a student that shows motivation to learn and excel in their class, you'll see a change in that teacher's approach to the class. There are many classes offered from woodshop and ceramics to computers and coding. The campus is like a small college and there are many resources available to get the students attending college ready.
Many of the teachers are devoted to their job and the teachers I had, they were the best. I was in the Puente Program and that helped me with a lot of college information, I really recommend. There were always events going on and I praise asb for all of their hard work!! If you are going to this school, I recommend that you get involved because that's where most of my memories are from.
