California high school is a good school to intend. At Cal High, different academies are offered to give you a boost for your college resume and also future career! Not many other schools in the district have this or have very few compared to Cal. These academies include, Business Academy, Culinary Academy, Health Academy, Auto Academy, and A&E Academy. Although it’s a good school to attend, it does like some safety issues. We only have 1 official security guard guarding the whole school while the rest of the “guards” are just staff. It does get concerning if something ever happened and no money is put into the safety of the students.

California high school was the best! The years went by so fast due to how fun and busy it was. I entered thinking that I wouldn't make many friends but boy was I wrong. The teachers are always supportive and willing to work extra to ensure you meet your goals. The amount of honors and AP classes is phenomenal. There are so many different clubs and sports to keep you busy and productive. However my only concern is the amount of kids who try to act like gang members. But besides from that, California High is the best school that I've attended and I sure will miss it.
While I attended California High School I had an amazing experience. My freshman year I had been accepted into the Puente Program which prepared me for college and showed me which classes I needed to take in order to develop a good college resume. Additionally, the teaching and counseling staff was extremely supportive of all students and they always did their best to guide everyone towards accomplishing their goals. Although I was involved in the Puente Program at my school, there were many other programs provided to help students strive towards any future career they had in mind. For example, there was a health academy, business academy, scholars program, and a culinary academy as well as many other miscellaneous programs. In addition to the various programs provided by the school there are many opportunities to become involved in the sports. Overall the academia, school staff, and community is very welcoming and theres something for everyone at this school.
