California High School has a number of great programs and opportunities which make it very easy to find classes that are interesting to you or relevant to your intended future major. For instance there is an engineering pathway which allows kids to be exposed to computer aided design (CAD), basic mechanics and and machining, as well as giving students the chance to design and execute their own projects. The school atmosphere has its issues, however. There have been incidents of hate speech but they have been actively shut down on each occasion by administration. Generally the school culture is much more accepting and tolerant. Overall California High School has great academic and extracurricular opportunities but could use improvement in its atmosphere.

From my experience at California High School, I felt the teachers genuinely care for students, and gave the students the best accurate information of what instructors in college expect from all students! And also help students prepare for future with testing and exams. Overall most teachers have a strong interest in helping students becoming more successful in their future, including teaching them important information such as; applying for jobs, How to speak in interviews, what to wear to interviews, how to search for the right colleges, etc. I believe teachers gave fair grading on the students progress and how well they turn in assignments on time! However, they may not be consistent on posting grades depending on how busy they are with grading and keeping track of future assignments. Finally, the teachers communicate very well with the students allowing 1on1 time after class or after school. Also, informing the students their expectations during class while giving them leisure to speak their opinions and thoughts during class lectures.
From California High School I appreciate my teachers, their dedication to their work and to the students, their understanding and interest toward us. Since the moment that I first arrived to the school, from a different country and culture, they showed kindness and positivite energy to help me adapt faster from my recent change.

I will love to see a change in the perspective of the school towards art, by implementing it in the curriculum as a way to engage and help students learn the topics of their classes. Also by supporting those with the artistic skills, and not forgetting that art matters in many people's lives.
