My experience was good because I met people that will forever play a huge part in my high school experience. All of the people there were accepting to all ethnicities. Students also supported, cheered, and helped the special educational students and treated them very well. Everybody knew everybody by name at least because it was a small school and can see everyone with one look. I would rate my high school experience when I was in school a 8/10.
My experience at California city highschool was great. I like how it is a small school. I like the staff. One thing though that I would like to see improve is the athletics.
I mean I’m still a senior in high school still attending this school but about this school I loved it I made a lot of memories through out the school year and played a school sport with my friends .
What I liked about California City high school, was that it was a very diverse school while I attended there. What I want to see change is that they add more clubs, and other student activities to the school as well as change the quality of the food that was being served at the school.
This is a school that I took for a whole 4 years of my life. These 4 years were the best school life since the classes were easy to pass, and the freedom to do what you want, from what is allowed under school rules, on you free time.
I had a great experience at this high school. It is evident that many of the teachers thoroughly enjoy educating us and are effectively preparing us for future education and career opportunities. I also enjoyed how involved people are, with many students competing in sports, participating in academic competitions, and playing in band. In addition, this school gave me and other students opportunities to take college courses through Cerro Coso Community College, our local community college, allowing us to better prepare for our future educations. Overall, this school had a very positive impact on me, and I am glad I was able to be part of this school.
i liked how caring the teachers were and how hard they tried to help you be ready for the next chapter of your life. the environment is so full of goal chasing.
What I liked most about this school is being able to take college courses that will prepare us for our time in college. They are really involved with high academics which is a good advantage for us students. What needs to change however is the campus because of how small it is which isn't really good for a high school. I also believe that it should have more security staff to make us feel safer.
A lot can improve. As for as authority and authentically teaching students its more than about graduating and going into work. Campus can be cleaner.
California City High School is great. The staff are really nice and have no problem helping in anyway they can. The coaches are really nice and in a sense make it feel as if we are one big family away from our families.
I have enjoyed the majority of my time at California City High School. It is an exciting small school and is great if you like getting involved. Our campus is very diverse and accepting to all, with how small we are everbody knows one another. I’ve gotten to know many of the staff and I can say that they all want the best for us. Each of them works hard to prepare us for further education, military, work, and/ or life in general. Sporting events are the most entertaining things to do on campus. For how small our school is, often times we will be the loudest ones cheering anywhere we go. Whether it be home games, championship basketball games, or other away meets and games. Being an all season athlete, I have gotten to travel far with my teams. We always handle our business while also having a blast. Our coaches press upon us the importance to strive to be better both athletically and academically. They believe grades come first; they always ensure that we are on the right path.
My experience attending California City High School has been good and bad, as can be expected in all schools though. For the most part, I do actually like the staff. I love how close some of the staff is to the students because it creates a tight community. There is a good amount of teachers who truly care for your education, as long as you try of course, and put worth the effort in preparing yourself for after high school. For me, the one thing I definitely enjoy is participating in sports. If I didn't participate in any sports, my high school experience would have been way different. My coaches have actually become close friends and people I respect and look up to. One thing I would hope for the future students is that they encounter more school spirit as a whole. I would also like to see that they get more resources.
Cal City High is a small high school that rarely has a graduating class of over a hundred kids. When I attended Cal City High, everyone knew each other and grew up together. It's a small high school that took a little while to get various sports or clubs going, and not all of them stayed for very long depending on funding, but the kids who joined them always had fun and worked to keep them around. The teachers were hit and miss, but the ones that hit were always there for their students. A handful of teachers worked to make school fun for the students, and were always willing to make time for those who couldn't grasp a subject or needed help with gathering what they'd need for a project. Cal City High is a small high school that's better than most in the Mojave Desert area, but its also not the best. It needs work, but still manages to provide a decent place for education.
I love how all the staff are very friendly and the teachers are very dedicated. Our counselor always provides the maximum amount of help she can. Some dual enrollment classes are offered. It's a small school and the students are generally friendly. However, we don't have many clubs or advanced technology.
From my experience as a student was pretty good, a yearbook cover winner for senior year, and an overall teacher's pet . I think my school is best known for sports because you could see the determination and confidence they get on their faces before the competition and gives it their all. My school is located in a desert, which isn't all that fun. I don't really recommend coming because there isn't a Walmart or big shopping places to go, unless you want to move to a peaceful place to get away from a big city then maybe Cal City is your place. (P.S. California City isn't a city)
If I could go back I would change how many sports I did and make my gpa higher then it was all four years.
This school made me into the perso I am today. I was able to venture out and push myself to be a person I want to be.
