After sending our son for a year, we are happy to tell that the school is filled with wonderful people.
CAMS students are kind, friendly, supporting each other across grades, and caring younger students very well. Parents are very nice and supportive, too.
Most teachers have decent backgrounds/careers. It's easy to communicate with teachers and school staffs. Minimal donation/volunteer requests.
The school is for students like Engineering, Computer Science, or Bio-technology. Required courses include manufacturing with CNC machines & industrial 3D printers, computer programming, CAD designing, and college level Bio-tech curriculum.
Located on CSUDH campus, junior/senior students may take the college classes at reasonable cost.
More than 50 clubs to choose from. 1/5 students join FRC or VEX Robotics teams. While sports teams are limited, good players compete at tournaments. Dancing teams actively perform at various school events.
A lot of fun and exciting opportunities at CAMS!

A lot of fun and exciting opportunities at CAMS!
CAMS is a terrific school with many like-minded people! The teachers are phenomenal individuals who teach each of their subjects exceptionally, making sure every student loves to learn and understand the topic. The climate is amazing. It's small enough to feel like a family and, honestly, it definitely feels like one! You can make friends with practically anyone here and all the staff are excellent!
At CAMS, there are so many opportunities to be college-ready from the AP classes to the internships and dual enrollment both at community colleges and California State University of Dominguez Hills---which CAMS occupies the campus of, providing students access to some of its college facilities---that makes it a great school to attend. Even the various pathways available to take (engineering, computer science, and biotechnology) broaden your perspective of the career world. However, with these opportunities come academic rigor: the regular workload will be quite heavy, and the yearly interdisciplinary project is stressful, sometimes making it hard to balance social life with academics---but that's why teachers and other staff are always readily available to provide the much-needed support for success, and peers are always eager to help. Overall, the atmosphere at CAMS proves to be very engaging (in school spirit and academics) and ensures future success.
