Caliche Junior/Senior High School Reviews
Rating 3.58 out of 5 31 reviews
Caliche is an extremely small school and anyone who attends can testify to the fact that the atmosphere is amazing. Our community is very tight-knit and we have the ability to make connections with every student in our school along with the staff.
Growing up in a small community and attending a small school, something that has stood out to me clearly is that individuals helping one another is necessary to be successful. Through my involvement in a variety of school activities and athletics throughout my school years, I have learned how to work with others in order to solve problems. I know that working hard academically and maintaining good grades is important, but being successful as an individual also requires much more: respect for others, kindness, leadership, teamwork, a positive attitude, persistence, giving of my time, and doing my best to make a difference for the better. All of these traits will help me through my college years and on into my career.

I feel I received a very good academic experience. Athletic programs were very small school, and I did not love my experiences as an athlete. I went to school from pre-school to graduation at Caliche. That makes for some struggles and some benefits. Small class size and lots of individual attention was a big plus. Not a lot of choices for electives was a big downfall. Concurrent enrollment at our local junior college was the saving grace for electives.
High School was fun and had very very good experiences. I’ll never forget them. I played basketball, baseball, and track throughout my time at Caliche. I also gained forever lasting friendships along the way. We made caliche like a second home almost.
