I love it there! I’m an uprising senior and the past four years at this school have meant the world to me and I wouldn’t change it for anything. The teachers are amazing and easy to connect with and the classes prepare you for the real world.
I had a great High School experience at Caldwell County Career Center. The teachers care for the students education and do their best to help each student learn and set goals for themselves. The school participates in organizations such as SkillsUSA, and encourages students to participate in such organizations as well. However, I believe that the school should get the students more involved with the community by giving the school sports teams and perhaps creating more clubs for the students.
All of the teachers are very helpful and try to stay up to date on grades. The students are mainly very polite and appreciate their opportunity at the school. Taking college classes at the same time as high school classes can be difficult but it can be done.
This is a really good school. They prepare you for the real world, college, and your future career. It's a relatively small school, making it seem like a family.
I would like to see the career center reopen the alternative engineering program that focused on building and wiring houses.
I love my school and the idea of having academies of interest but they should not limit students. The “career pathway” needs to be eliminated. I don’t mean that students shouldn’t be on a specific route, but they should be able to take classes to expand their interests. I wanted to take abnormal psychology (which obviously has to do with the health field) and got denied. I also tried to take public speaking and got denied.
The schools communication system is poor, students are often times confused about where to be and when to be there due to lack of communication. Moreover The school has excellent resources including the community college library and help center
I attended the Caldwell Career Center Middle College and graduated in 2016. The Middle College was a great school to attend because I was able to choose between three academies on what I wanted to learn. I choose the Engineering Academy. The Engineering Academy had a lot of a hands on activities. We were always doing something instead of constantly looking at a textbook.
I like the environment and how the classes help you towards your career. Things that could be better and improve are taking more classes to help the prerequisites for your career
I enjoy the atmosphere and the small classroom sizes. However, I would have loved the way schedules are made to be modified.
The Caldwell Career Center is very different than most high schools. What separates this school from most is it focuses on not only preparing us for college but also the career we are interested in. There are three different academies such as; life sciences, engineering and advanced technologies. I am in the life sciences academy. If you want to go into the medical field then this is the academy for you because it really focuses on the human body and things of that sort. I have enjoyed my four years at the Career Center very much and I am excited to see where the knowledge I have learned here will take me in life.
The teachers are astounding. They support every student to their fullest capabilities and adjust to different learning styles. All the teachers are always at 120% when teaching. They even take time out of their days to offer free tutoring after school and will happily help with any problems. Students accept each other and all the different cultures.
My experience in the Career Center has been extraordinary. I have had many different opportunities that most high school students wouldn't have. I have made many new friends and learned many new things that will help me in my journey through college.
The majority of teachers at this school seem to truly care about what they're doing, and wish to help a child with their future. The teaching styles range to whatever will help best the student, and if a student is falling behind then the teacher will help them.
Principal is wonderful and cares for the students. Teachers are involved and care for their students.
I really love my school, and everyone in it.
