Cairo High School is an average to slightly below average High School. Students n the academic side, the high school is decent. The upper level classes can range in difficulty and preparation for college. Administration is odd, as they aren’t amazing at keeping students under control; however, they do care about their students. Cairo runs into major issues when you leave the academic side. As a campus, Cairo High is quite poor. The main campus is run down and poorly maintained so even the newer aspects deteriorate quickly. A new wing was built two years ago and is quickly deteriorating. Unless you speak in the football team, Cairo is very poor at distributing finances between its extracurricular activities. While the football team was just given I’ve a million dollars for a brand new turf field. Other sports teams, such as the tennis, volleyball, swim, and rifle teams are forced to leave campus and use city amenities in order to practice and perform.
My school was very well educated. Every year there be at least 20 plus honor graduates. With that being said, my school provide great education benefits that help the students with real world scenarios. The staff as well as the students are well respected by each other! The diversity of both race come together as a whole instead of being separated, the students get awarded when achieving great accomplishments, and plenty of extra curriculum activities.
Cairo High offers their students a multitude of opportunities in bettering their future. Through CTAE programs, sports teams, and numerous clubs everyone has a place to belong. I am proud to be a syrup maker!
