Cahokia high school is a very unique place. It has a very distinct vibe and connection through the building. You can make friends there easily but friendships don't last long. The food there isn't the best but they try their hardest to provide the essentials for students. Safety at Cahokia High School is usually good, you wont see very much out of hand violence. The academics is very fair. They try to push the students that are willing but they tend to give up on students who won't learn. Cahokia High School lack diversity, it mostly contains African Americans and a small portion of other races. The teachers are pretty good. They try their hardest to help students learn. Teachers try in different ways to push students to their fullest potential. Over all Cahokia High School is a decent environment for a student thats trying to be well-educated.

When in honors classes you could barley learn with all of the disruptions. Luckily they have a program that allows students to go to the community college there junior and senior year which made my experience of high school better because I was not there for classes but for sports!
My experience as a Cahokia High School Alumni isn’t so bad as everyone think. Regardless, it was an okay School when I attended. But, the great thing I enjoyed the most was women sports which I played for many years. I was very successful in my four years of playing, and starting varsity basketball. I loved how I was able to grow and become a great human being just off of my peers and some staff.
What I’ll love to see change is some staff members not having the students best entrance at heart. I’ll love to see more community support for the students then hate and anger. Other than that the school is pretty okay for the most part.
