I am in the class of 2018 and I love my school. Magnet is full of intelligent scholars. This school is made for preparing every student to soar in college. College is very important to every teacher and student here. Magnet is full of art and music with very talented individuals. I love our picnic days and scene days. Our picnics and practically all school day long with lots of food and games! Scene day is where the talent shines all school day long with singing, dancing, skits and more. I absolutely love my school and hope that the incoming freshman classes continue to grow.

Magnet High prepared my son for College and we definitely enjoyed the experience! My son was thoroughly prepared! The teacher experience was awesome and they were all well qualified! The parent support is awesome! This was the best school for my son to attend and I plan on my daughter going there. The academic load was a little tough but the challenges were there for my son. There is definitely much diversity and the culture there is very approaching!
This review is from me, a past high-schooler from Caddo Parish Magnet High School. (this is a multiple-part review)

This high school is great academic-wise, but there are some serious problems. For one, some (not most) teachers there are incompetent and don't teach the material in class and then pile mountains of work on students, expecting them to have mastery of the material the next day. I am not complaining about the work and being lazy; I ended up with straight A's after each year. Although intellectually-stimulating, it also adds an unnecessary amount of stress on the students that doesn't actually prepare them for college.

Secondly, there is a big problem of cheating at this school. Despite the repeated assemblies stressing students to follow the academic honesty policy, it is regarded as a joke among students and there is rabid cheating at this school.
