There were not enough AP classes to choose from. The teachers were nice. Most teachers seemed like they wanted to be there. There was only distance learning from March 2020 all the way up to April 2021.
Cabrillo taught me how to truly be myself. I got to be apart of so many different clubs on and off campus and I was apart of the girls volleyball team all 4 years of high school. If I could change one thing about my high school, I would ask them to pay closer attention to their students' wants and desires more than rules and regulations.
I have enjoyed my time with Cabrillo High School and was welcomed in as a new student my sophomore year. I would like to see more weighted classes for grades other than juniors, as these courses are somewhat rare especially for lower classmen, but I especially enjoyed the extracurricular activities.
it was okay. i think it could have been better obviously. it was highschool though. can't really be picky
I've grown up in this small town of Lompoc my whole life. Cabrillo Highschool is only one out of two schools we have here. Its not the worst school but I think the school district could be better. the district is terrible, which is why the teachers don't like their jobs, which is why I don't like going to school. If maybe I had a chance of a healthy relationship with a teacher, then I might like school. Until that day comes I shall say, Cabrillo High School needs a better environment. The students need a will to be there, or else everything being taught will be useless.
Teacher's are great. Very good school. Lack of school spirit. Our football field is trash. Missing many AP classes. Needs to serve better food. Sports program is pretty good, except for the football team. We haven't won a single game since 1960 something.
A pretty normal high school, nothing too special. The teachers are fun and the classes are cool. The food is good and the campus is clean. Not to many fights or drama, very nice.
Science department is great, math and social studies departments are not. Graphic arts, aquarium and drama departments are an asset. Senior project makes it difficult to get all the other Important items completed senior year and a little repetitive considering we complete one junior year. Other than that, English department is good. New principal is nice. Clubs can be fun and there are some great coaches.
My experience with Cabrillo High School was great for just being there for one year. My teachers and other Administrators made me feel at home and guided me to the path to my success.
Teachers are great! Needs more school spirit so that students feel proud of going there. Safety on campus is very good. Awesome neighborhood community.
What I would want to change is their tolerance for misbehaving kids. They would be tolerate to many things they shouldn't have been.
I like this school because I get a good education even though there could be some changes. People could stop smoking in the bathroom and some teachers could be understanding. But I do have a fun time here.
I moved here my senior year and I felt very welcome. All the students were nice to me. A close friend of mine who just moved here had a different experience however. She was called racist slurs So I was very upset that the school would be welcome to me, but not her. The school has an amazing aquarium which is awesome. It lets the students be involved with real animals. There is also a greenhouse, a nursery, and a vinyard, managed by students which is an awesome program.
An average school in a below average city. Overall okay, but I feel the school does not do enough to promote college options or scholarship opportunities. Fortunately, my daughter is an exceptional student and has been recognized for her achievements both on and off campus.
I love the small class size, and for a small school there are many class options available to students!
Not the best but not the worst. Some teachers, mainly in the sciences and upper level English classes, are incredible. However many lower level teachers are not. A lot of outdated technology and falling apart books. Overall however, not a terrible school. Honors program helps students excel.
I must be fair with this high school, so let me start by listing the pros; the band program, it’s 15 mins from the coast, and for some strange reason they have an aquarium. The aquarium is the only reason this school has three stars instead of one because it makes up for the cons. These cons are listed from greatest to least; near zero student enjoyment, administration, facilities, school pride/branding, athletics, ignorance, specific location, and teachers and curriculum. Students will NOT enjoy their time here, referrals are handed out for even attempting to have fun and activities held by a crooked ASB led by a stern and unpleasant activities director are sure to bring out the worst experience for high school. This school may seem to be successful at athletics, but if you look at the records, they’ll tell you that none of the teams have passed division three and they repeatedly play poor teams. Don’t get me started on the football team.
