Byron High School is a great school if you're looking for the best education. Downfall would be diversity and the smaller spectrum size. Not as many opportunities to meet lots of people if you do not fit in.
Nice school district, Nice town. Easy to make friends. Great community. Close to Rochester, just off of Hwy 14.
Byron is a nice location and has a very good school district. Its high school has a decent amount of students where students can still get one-on-one help from teachers and staff (except this number is growing so hopefully, they can adapt). The counselors at Byron High School are extremely helpful; they put students first and are very supportive. The teachers are also very good at making sure students are on track and learning in the best way possible. In the past, there have been some not-so-great staff, but the administration is great at making changes to either improve that individual teacher's performance or let them go if they're not working out. It's very easy to tell that every staff member at Byron High School wants success for every student. This school is not perfect--they could improve at budgeting for one example--but always does its best to improve.
small town so you know everybody which is convenient sometimes, but also no variety. we have nice facilities. i love how supportive the teachers are. some clubs don't get the best recognition but we're working on it. everyone rallies around our sports and i love that so much
Great environment and teaching staff!! All the electives one could ask for! Great students also everyone is friends in this school
Byron is a pretty good school. Academics are taught well and there are plenty of opportunities for extracurriculars. The majority of teachers are fair and will work with you if you need extra help. The facility is well kept and always seems welcoming. I have not had any interactions with the counselors but have heard they are helpful.
Byron high school was a good experience. I wouldn’t have wanted to spend my 4 years at any other high school. Being a current senior, time really flew by. I am thankful I had so many good teachers throughout the years.
Byron Senior High School has a very rigorous curriculum and well educated staff. For the most part, it feels like the staff genuinely care about your education and will push you to be the best you can be. The school seems pretty up to date, and the acknowledgement of sports and art clubs is top notch. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the actual student body. The students are extremely clique-ish, and you will instantly be categorized with a certain group upon entry. Most people don't talk outside of their cliques, which can make the atmosphere of the locker-bays and classroom cold or standoffish. Either way, you can still find a good friend group here.
Byron High School is really challenging and it pushes you to be your best and take challenging courses. The teachers are always willing to help you and are by your side encouraging you the whole way. All the staff and students work together in order to make everyone's experience an AMAZING one!
I like that there is the flexibility of choosing our own schedule, as well as other options such as online and PSEO. However, only a few of the teachers don't seem thrilled to be teaching, or who are close-minded.
I thought my school experience was good, but it lacked diversity. I felt like I was alone most of the time. So I stuck to school work and Sports most of the time.
I like how welcoming and caring the staff is at BHS. They care about our success and making sure we are doing the best we can! They will go out of their way to help us students out, which is very rare in some schools.
Byron is a splendid place. I have been a pupil at many different schools and Byron has by far been the best experience for me. There isn't much that I would change about this school, and in all reality I was just overwhelmed with it being my first year of high school and all. This is a wonderful place and I couldn't ask for better people to be surrounded by.
My experience at Byron High School was wonderful. They were the best years of my life. I met some of my best friends in Byron and made memories that I will never forget. Learning can be a struggle for me and I need a smaller environment with teachers that are willing to work with me. Byron gave me the opportunity to have the one on one help that I need along with smaller class sizes. I have been involved in sports, clubs, and in school activities throughout my years in Byron. I saw caring and strong relationships between students and faculty. I feel very safe in the school and know that if I ever need help my teachers are there for me. One thing that I would like to see a change in, is a larger selection of foreign language classes. The only foreign language at Byron High School is Spanish as more languages are growing and translators are needed in hospitals for these languages. Overall, I believe that Byron High School was one of the best things that ever happened to me.
Out Principal Mr. Willman cares deeply about students. I have never met an adult who cares so much about students.
Great personalized education. Great community that genuinely wants to see students develop and grow.
The academics at Byron High School are excellent. The sports team and coaching in general are average with other schools.
