My experience at Btech was very good. They have wonderful staff and students. They push you to do your best and achieve great things.
Business Technology Early College High school (BTECH) is a really good school. I have been in it for 4 years and I can truly say everyone is like family. The staff makes you feel welcomed and he teacher have personal relationship with student. This school will make you feel at home.
The school has so much opportunity. Let me elaborate, first of all the school provides a dual enrollment with their partner Queens Borough Community College. What that means is that, students have the ability to get their associates from QCC completely free of charge, whether it is tuition or books and also get college credits in highschool. Meaning you take both highschool classes and college classes, it sounds overwhelming but it is balanced work. If your a hard worker and a goal achiever than you should check it out. Also they give internship opportunities to many students, from freshmans to seniors. The teachers and staffs absolutely nice and helpful. This school is really amazing.
The school is very nice and gave me as a student the opportunity to take college courses while taking regular high school classes. The teachers are really nice and it’s a safe environment for learning. I hold many fond memories that came from business technology early College High School. I learned so much about college, but not just from my college workshops done by the school, but as well as the hands on experience I was able to acquire from my early college experience that was giving to me.
When I was first picking my highschool it sounded like my perfect choice. An early college high school where I can graduate with an associate's degree and internship opportunities with S.A.P. The first two years it was a normal high school. There was 1 trip that anyone could go to an S.A.P office in New york. No internships or advice on how to pursue one was given. The students would have to constantly be asking if anything was available. During my senior year, we were spending the majority of time in college classes. Overall, it was a step up from my middle school and I am thankful for the opportunity to take college classes early but when it comes to everything else it fell short.
Business Technology Early College High School is a great place for those who want to major in business or technology. This school that is sponsored by SAP, pays for its students to receive their Associate in Applied Science Degree in year 6. Instead of it being 9-12th grade, this school is 9-14th grade. In the 10th grade students will start taking college classes at Queensborough Community College. Coming out of this school, you'll be able to find a job with great pay and also be college ready. Students who attend this school have no problem functioning as an undergraduate in another school since they have been taught college readiness skills and also have been transformed since their 10th grade year to a college student.
The school is very different compared to other schools. This school offers a dual enrollment program, which starts in the 10th grade and continues into 14th grade if you decide to stay there. Overall there’s a lot of great opportunities at the school and the teachers are very helpful they will not give up on you ever .
B-TECH is overall a fairly new school. However, day after day, they continue to grow. Constant changes are being made to help improve the overall quality of the school, which seems to be showing improvement. They have a steady growth rate & continue to help make changes for the benefit of the school environment.
This is a brand new school and it's heading towards a better direction with the new principal in place. All the teachers are understanding and they care about the students as well as staff. Bullying isn't a problem at this school. It prepares you for college as an early college high school.
Everything about BTECH is great, my only complaint is that we don’t have our own building, which causes slight problems with the internet connection. Besides that, our lunch could be more diverse, and I’d like to see a more efficient system for clubs and extra curricular activities within the school.
Its a decent school that gives students an advantage at starting college early. The good thing about this school is that there are many supportive teachers. You also get to start college at Queensborough Community College in 10th grade. The only bad thing about this school is that it shares campus with Martin Van Buren High School which is a bad school. Some students at Business Technology Early College High School are Lazy.
