I can totally say that i enjoyed my time at BSSJ. The atmosphere very welcoming and everyone did there bast to help the students out. I do regret not listening and payment more attention to the resources of counselors they had for every student. But I do know that they help my family out when younger sister was in the hospital. They had a collective vision of helping students reach there goals.
I like the Staff, my guidance counselor who is very supportive and loves us. My peers are fun people to socialize with, and we can relate to similar problems that we have. My teachers are supportive and are there for me when I have a difficult time comprehending a certain problem.
Bushwick School for Social Justice is an interesting experience to gather friends, interact with diverse culture origins, and most importantly learn on what Social Justice means and how can we implied it anywhere we go and help the community.
Bushwick school for justice does take pride in their name and what they stand for, which is social justice. They do show students how important it is to stand up for what’s right in their community and around the world. The teachers care for their students, and vice versa. Their academics could use work. They do focus on students who lack behind in certain areas, often leaving those ahead behind. The classes they create such as math classes do not accommodate everyone.
Schools within low-income communities are often overlooked due to their lack of resource needed to prepare college ready individuals. It is a sad reality but schools like BSSJ are still able to use what little resources they have to help shape individuals who become leaders within their college community. I must add that if given more resources, BSSJ can become one of the top high schools in Brooklyn, N.Y. Thank you is what I say to the faculty and staff at BSSJ who are still guide me along my journey of becoming a leader among many.
I really loved this school. The teachers are great! They really know how to communicate with students. I loved all my teachers!!!! Some classes are a little bit dirty, but that not a big problem. Overall, this high school is awesome. I really miss this school so much.
In my perspective believe that bush wick school for social justice is a great school because all the students are respectful. But not only that the teachers are awesome ,they teach so great and us the students we understand everything. The only thing that they need to improve is the safety of the school, they should check the book bags even more in the morning in scanning. But other wise the school is great . And they should have clubs and college classes in this school in my opinion.
For being a high school in a predominately minority neighborhood, they tried their best. The teachers really worked hard to prepare you for college
I don't really know much about this. :/
Favorite experience was being a part of volleyball
Good health policy's at this school, Nurse always on duty.
Teachers are always eager to have the students learn, good influence in student achievement. Very good team's at this school
everyone is friendly and talk to each other and are helpful and nice to each other
they take time out to help student with whatever is needed and spend as much time that is needed for each student
the teachers treat us like if we are their own kids and help us with any problems
they try their best to make work as easy and understandable for the children to learn as possible and the teacher are very helpful
Staff is really on top of students and encourage them to do better. However, sometimes they take their own personal opinions and thoughts and not concider the students point of view. A student's voice id often shunned.
