From Bushwick Leaders' High School for Academic Excellence

Bushwick Leaders’ High School for Academic Excellence is a small community high school located on the corner of Bushwick and DeKalb Avenues in the heart of Bushwick, Brooklyn. Our historic building sits on a beautiful green campus that occupies a whole city block. Note that beginning in September 2022 our school will temporarily relocate to 976 Seneca Avenue in Ridgewood for a period of two to three years while our school at 797 Bushwick Avenue undergoes renovations to bring it up to building code.

The majority of our diverse student population comes from the surrounding communities of Bushwick, Bedford-Stuyvesant, East Williamsburg and Ridgewood. At Bushwick Leaders High School, we believe every student is an asset who brings a tremendous amount of value to the academic experience. This is why we welcome all students regardless of their culture, language or varied identities to be a part of our school community.
