Excellent team, caring, plus the GSS is the topping to this building I enroll one twin and I’m looking to enroll the other cause the school is worth it in learning, respectful teachers & administration with the new principal I see more goals for the students to be college ready. My child has an average of 100% and she gets metals, gifts, plus gc.I can’t say enough it’s the best school my twin had, coming from a AFUP charter school! My child will graduate with honors and entering college to because an successfully young lady’s with a great career!
what i like about my high school is that they have great teachers who can help you whenever you need help, they offer you a variety of programs for extra help
I liked the teachers there. They’re very caring and they push you to work hard. Bushwick leaders just needs more activities, elective classes, and clubs.
The experience that I have had is good, I have been able to know different cultures, different customs and different languages, due to the great diversity it is, what I like most about BLHS is that you cannot be only Ecuador, you can be everything.
Well I’ve been in Bushwick leaders for 4 years now and I’m finally graduating my experience has been awesome I’ve learned new things made new friends and shared many happy sad moments I eill miss this school so much.
The relationshipwith students and staff is great while the facilties are not good. I enjoyed my time at the school I do wish somethings were improved but that is over my control.
I had an alright experience at this school, I feel, however, that after I graduated I was not ready for college at all.
Since the first day of my freshman year, I always felt that this school was a perfect fit for me. The teachers and staff are welcoming and very caring. Over time I've built very strong relationships with my teachers and I felt like it should always be like that because students look up to them and look for them when in need. So To Build Strong relationships with them is key. Bushwick Leaders Has Some Flaws But None, That Can Overcome How Great The School and Staff members in them are. They take you in as their own and Help is Always giving 24/7. What I Love About Bushwick Leaders Is How their Main Goal Is To Get you prepared and Ready For College from the first step to when you walk Out .
The extracurricular activities are very fun and exciting. It keeps the student guessing for what going to happen the next day. Everyday there is something new, a new activity.
The teachers at the school are very concerns about their students. They mentally challenge us, so we can better ourselves. The teachers constantly make students engage in reading and critical thinking discussions. The teachers encourage us to do better.
it is a great school overall. there is a lot of support with college & life. there are no sports teams but the afterschool activities makeup for it
I enjoyed the experience simply because of some of the teachers I met and the close knit friends I made but if I could take those people with me to a different school and do it all over again I would. I entered college feeling incredibly insecure about my education and it took a toll on my learning experience at the university, I didn't know just how unprepared I was until I entered the university which is not the best way to find out just how much the school did not prepare you.
There isn't a kitchen and so food is delivered from another school down the street. There aren't many options because there isn't a kitchen amongst other things.
There aren't sports and the gym that the school has is also utilized as an auditorium for events. What sport gear the school actually has is always falling apart or in poor condition.
There are certain departments with amazing teachers who give their all for their students but there are also departments that have teachers that aren't good at delivering a helpful instruction. Then again teachers are always leaving and new ones fill their spots.
An after school program was added to my high school after I was already a junior and was participating in a different program I had found outside of my school.
I have had a small handful of amazing teachers there but the school did not prepare me at all for college and left me feeling cheated out of an education that I needed and felt like I deserved.
