Burris has been a great school for my kids. The relationships they have made with friends and faculty has developed them into not only good students but good little people too!

Burris is considered the best school in the local area, as a result, it is very difficult to enroll in. The lottery process gives preference to children of employees, siblings of current students, high ability students, and then anyone else. If you aren't able to enroll at Kindergarten the chances are very slim in following grade levels. As a parent, I found this process very stressful.

The school does have excellent resources available for students. The co-teaching approach in the early elementary grade levels seems to help meet the needs of students at different levels in math & reading.

Since Burris is affiliated with BSU they also have added benefits of student teachers providing additional resources and learning opportunities. The school has also been able to avoid the budget crisis that MCS is struggling with.

I've generally had a positive experience with Burris, except I really dislike the out of date building and lack of efficient pick-up/drop-off and parking.
It was a great school, I loved pretty much everything about it! I would definitely recommend for other students to go to this school. It definitely prepares you for college, and I'm so very grateful for that!
