I had a very positive experience at Burlington Notre Dame. I had the opportunity to be involved in a variety of clubs, organizations, sports, and leadership opportunities. The faculty and staff were very caring, encouraging, and supportive.
The only thing redeeming about this school are some of the teachers, because they're willing to go above and beyond for their students. The Administration is easily influenced by a parent-run school board and very rarely get involved in student issues. They rarely allow for student involvement in any issues at all, even in situations where student involvement should be paramount.
Hard for average students to succeed. You can be an above average student and still be at the bottom of your class since graduating class size is around 30.
The administration is terrible! The school does not treat everyone equally, and has favorites. Teachers expect way too much out of kids and don't prepare them as they should for the cost of tuition. The building itself is run down and gross. It only has 100% graduation rate because they pass kids when they shouldn't. Worst part is they let some kids get away with harassment and they punish a couple of boys for dancing during an assembly. This school needs to sort out its priorities.
Notre Dame is a good fit for someone looking for small class sizes and the ability to have the opportunity to participate in many extracurricular activities. The teaching staff is very involved and always available to help their students.
We are very competitive! We go to state often, and rank high in the state.
We never have threatening times, but there is a lot of undercover bullying.
Most of the students bring their own lunch because of the gross food. I would recommend to eat after school or bring a home lunch!
We have a lot of work and projects, but it doesn't overload us.
I love the fact that I go to a private catholic school! I say this for the reasons that we have strict guidelines, low tolerance for bad behavior, and religion. There is a good amount of students, but everyone is sort of stuck up. However, due to the amazing opportunity it gives me with everything I do outside of school and the knowledge I gain from my classes, I couldn't choose a better school!
Being a Catholic school, everything was safe to the point of boredom. But that's not a bad thing, because such tranquil environment was great for studying and intercommunicating with everyone.
