Everything is Awesome, because you are part of the team. Jack is here and he is pretty alright. The Clutch Catch Caleb (CCC) played football here. He will be playing in college.
Amazing! I learned so much and Excelled not only academically but athletically as well! I'm so glad I made the decision to transfer! I was always able to come in and learn more and get tutoring when needed! The staff is amazing!
In my high school, I was surrounded by many relatives. Burlington is a small farming community so many residents there share the same or at least similar roots. I was also surrounded by many people who shared the same beliefs as me. The reason I only rate it a 4 out of 5 is due to its small population. In result of small numbers, the opportunities to take advanced classes were minimal.
Burlington is a small school that has its focused on the students. Its a school where everyone knows everyone and is very tight knit. The teachers are excellent and help students to flourish in their learning.
Our head principal is one of the best men I know, and he does an excellent job of creating an atmosphere that is safe to learn in. He enforces rules, but isn't against allowing students to have fun and grow. Overall, our administration is amazing!
Our athletics are amazing, but I am very disappointed Wyoming does not have baseball. Our track is one of the best in the state, and our field is great. Our coaches are superlative, and our gym is one of the newest. Overall, our athletics are pretty good. Our weight room could use some more equipment, though.
For the most part, teachers at my high school are absolutely fantastic! They offer help at any and all hours and genuinely care about students. There are, however, a couple teachers that give less than the full effort, and one or two that are not really adept in their field of instruction.
I love the options at Burlington High School. Our FCCLA, SkillsUSA, and NHS are strong, and our athletics are excellent. We also have an amazing Music program, and students have the opportunity to participate in two High School Musicals and a Drama play every year.
Being a small school we don't have every extracurricular activity avalible but everyone at the school who wants to be involved has the opportunity, and most are involved in several activities at once. some of the activities here include: Football, volleyball, basketball [in this we are usually either number one or two in the state, both in boys and girls], track, baseball, music and band, drama club, multimedia club, etc. We also have buses to take people to nearby schools for cross country, wrestling, and soccer.
The food wasn't the best at the cafeteria, but the lunch ladies were very friendly.
My teachers were the best. We have them from 7th grade until graduation so we really get to know each other. Our principal and counselors are very helpful and concerned about each student.
My high school experience was the best. My class only had 15 kids in it, but all got a long and did many fun things together. I got along with all of my teachers. I have many team and individual state championships, and even have the school record in both hurdle races.
I felt very prepared coming into college. A lot of my first semester classes at BYU were a review from what I learned in High School.
Athletics and other clubs are very popular at Burlington. We have many state championships and a lot of people participate in school clubs as well.
My school works well to accommodate the teachers and parents and students. Our Principal is very involved with the kids. The guidance counselor is there for everyone and helps the seniors prepare for college. The office staff is very helpful. The school may have strict policies but everyone follows them, so they don't seem as strict, its more just a way of life. There is little to none degree of bullying. Everyone is friends and helps each other out.
The cafeteria is nice and accommodates the students. The menus are healthy and come in many varieties. The kids who have special diets are accommodated for.
